Market Order
What is Market Order?
An order to buy or sell immediately at the best available price.
Understanding Market Order
A market order prioritizes speed and certainty of execution over price. For liquid stocks during normal hours, it usually fills close to the last quoted price.
In fast-moving or thinly traded markets, the fill price can be noticeably worse than expected, a gap known as slippage.
